The Little Ones
If you look carefully you will find the smallest of God’s creatures unique to the area such as the famed Yellow Banana Slug or the June Beetle.
The Redwood Forest Cathedral The redwood forest of Mt. Hermon offers acres of natural beauty. Many parts of the forest are virgin uncut redwoods thousands of years old. The streams of Bean Creek and the San Lorenzo River have cut canyons with dramatic river beauty. Many creatures share their forest with us. The Mt. Hermon canyons have a evergreen flora resulting from the 40 inches of rain which visit the region each winter. The Redwoods promote a unique ecosystem which disappears when they are needlessly cut down. Take a hike. Picnic by the stream. Read a good book in the hammock on the deck. Escape the city for a few days. The Santa Cruz mountains offers endless family fun and activity but sometimes it is peace and relaxation that we desire.  Dogs are permitted on the trails but must be on leash. Mountain Bikes are permitted on certain trails. Please be respectful and do not disturb Mother Nature.
